INSTRUCTIONS FOR AN IMPOSSIBLE PLACE
You are the
weather.
There is no puzzle to win. The material is never finished, and your gestures become part of its evolution.
- Touch, draw or swipe to introduce new material. The chemistry grows according to its own rules.
- Hold Shift while drawing (or use a right-click on desktop) to unmake a patch instead.
- Change the law on the right. The same world develops differently under Becoming, Wandering and Collision.
- Pulse sends an outward ring of disturbance. Echo takes your last gesture and replays it in a mirrored form.
- Enable sound to hear original synthesised tones respond to your actions. No audio files are downloaded. Film captures an eight-second moving artwork on supported browsers.
Keyboard: 1–3 change laws · Space pauses · M toggles sound · P pulses · E echoes · R creates new weather · S saves · V films · H hides the interface · Esc restores it.
The image is generated by a Gray–Scott reaction–diffusion field coupled artistically to a damped wave simulation, both computed on the graphics processor when supported (using float textures or a packed 16-bit state). The interaction is a poetic interpretation of becoming and agency, not a validated psychological model.
